"As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life." 1 Timothy 6:17-19

The act of giving is our response to the amazing gift of grace we receive from God. Jesus Christ was sent into the world to save sinners. He left the glory of heaven and took on flesh in order to fulfill the righteous demands of a holy God, to demonstrate the power of the coming Kingdom, and to ultimately give his life on the Cross as our substitute. Then he rose victorious from the grave and now through him we can be reconciled to God. Our giving expresses our gratitude to this generous God and is our response of worship to him, the only One worthy to be praised.

Thank you for being "a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7) who is "generous and ready to share" (1 Timothy 6:18). Our church could not as effectively carry out our gospel ministry without your faithful and generous giving.
