"And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'" Matthew 28:18–20
A disciple of Jesus is simply someone who, having been saved by Jesus, is following after Jesus and helping others to do the same. To be a disciple necessitates the posture and practice of learning; being a student. Study Groups at Grace Church are a part of our small group ministry and act as one expression of our joyful commitment together as God’s people to seek to grow in our knowledge of God and application of His Word to our lives.
Our Study Groups meet in the fall and spring and provide a specific context to give focused attention to the Word of God and specific theological topics, with the intention of fostering relationships while deepening our knowledge of God, what He says, and how we are called to live.

How Should We Then Live? Sojourners and Exiles Learning to Live in the City of Man (John Loftness)
This world is constantly shaping us and pushing us to conform to its ways. God has called us to live in this time and in this place, but as sojourners and exiles. In this seminar we explore those influences that seek to bend us toward the goals and intentions of the City of Man, and we consider how we can live—really live an abundant life—without being conformed to this world.

[FULL] Good and Angry: Redeeming Anger, Irritation, Complaining and Bitterness by David Powlison (Jason Briggs)
The words "good" and "angry" are words not normally paired together but Powlison shows us how anger can be constructive instead of destructive in our lives. This group will use our Bibles along with Powlison's book to 1) define what anger is, 2) understand what shape it should take in our lives, and 3) explore how God changes us so that our responses to wrongs mirror His.
